Signs Your Elite Welding & Fabrication Is Failing

• A visible crack at a hinge or corner joint. This is the obvious one, and it means the gate has been flexing past what the factory weld could handle. The crack is the symptom; the flex is the problem, and both have to be addressed or you’ll be looking at the same crack again next year.
• The gate scrapes the driveway or the track at one end only. That tells us the frame is twisting, not just sagging. A sagging gate drops evenly; a twisting gate drags on one corner and lifts on the other, and that twist is almost always a failed weld allowing the frame to rack.

• The gate drifts or rolls back after it stops. If the gate won’t hold position at the closed limit, a cracked bracket or loose weld at the carriage connection can let the frame shift just enough to roll the gate off its stop. The electronics are fine; the steel under them is not.
• Rust staining runs out of a joint that didn’t used to rust. That staining means water is getting inside the frame tube through a crack or pinhole where the factory weld burned through.
